About Me
As a therapist, I bring to my practice a variety of life experiences that inform my approach to therapy and allow me to authentically connect with a diverse range of clients. In college, I studied theatre and spent my early adulthood working as an actor and arts educator. I also come from a family with deep roots in social work and I soon discovered that I felt called to follow that path as well. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 2018 and spent the next several years working in the criminal justice space, providing mental health care both to incarcerated individuals and to folks re-entering their communities after incarceration.
Throughout these clinical experiences, I observed that trauma exposure was a unifying theme amongst the people I worked with. This motivated me to seek further training in approaches to trauma treatment. I've since received a certificate in Integrative Trauma Studies from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and have also completed training in EMDR Levels I and II and IFS Level I.

I recognize that each person I work with is individual and no two healing journeys will look exactly alike. Because of this, I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach, meaning that I draw upon multiple modalities to help my clients reach their goals. In addition to EMDR and IFS, I utilize techniques from somatic therapy, mindfulness, relational psychodynamic therapy, and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). Above all, I believe that safe relationships are an indispensable component of the healing process. It will therefore always be my priority to create a collaborative therapy space where you feel safe, seen, and understood.
